X-ONE and Haryanto become Champions at Shanghai
Shanghai hosted round five of the Blancpain GT Series Asia and the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia Championships this weekend and X-ONE Racing was once again on dominant form. Fielding one Lamborghini Huracan GT3 for Andrew Haryanto and one Lamborghini Super Trofeo Huracan for Haryanto to share with Doyun Hwang, X-ONE racked up three pole positions and three class wins.
Haryanto confirmed as Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia Am Champion
Haryanto needed just a handful of points to clinch the Am Championship when he arrived at Shanghai and he quickly earned two of these in qualifying when he and team-mate Hwang both set the fastest times in Am to secure two class poles. In race one the pair dominated the class, finishing 8th overall and adding enough points to Haryanto’s total to ensure he could not be beaten by anyone. Race two saw a similarly brilliant performance by the pair who won their class again and finished 5th overall. Their Shanghai points haul allowed Hwang to move up to second in the Championship.
X-ONE takes the lead in GT3
Another sterling performance from solo driver Haryanto in the two wet Blancpain GT Series Asia races at Shanghai saw him move to the top of the Am Championship. The Indonesian won the Am class in race one, recording his fifth consecutive victory and finished 3rd in the torrid conditions that marked Sunday’s race.
The Blancpain GT Series Asia concludes in October at Zhejiang where Haryanto will aim to collect X-ONE’s second title of the year, whilst in November X-ONE will be at Imola in Italy for the Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Final.
