X-ONE Racing confirms three cars for Sepang season opener
Swiss team X-ONE Racing will be represented on both the Blancpain GT Series and Lamborghini Super Trofeo grids when the 2017 Asian season kicks off in Sepang, Malaysia, next weekend.
Wong and Haryanto double-up
The X-ONE Lamborghini Huracan GT3 will be making its debut in the Blancpain GT Series Asia races with Vincent Wong (Hong Kong) and Andrew Haryanto (Indonesia) sharing the driving duties. The pair will also be fighting for overall honours in the AM class of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia Championship so will take part in a total of four races during the Sepang weekend. Haryanto has already bought success to the X-ONE team, claiming the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East AM title earlier this year.
X-ONE Racing and VSR join forces
Technical assistance for the X-ONE GT3 Lamborghini will be provided by Italian team Vincenzo Sospiri Racing. The Italian Super GT Championship winning team will also provide a Pro driver line-up for the second X-ONE Super Trofeo car. Nicolas Costa (Brazil), 2016 Italian Super GT Champion, will share the car with Antonio D’Amico (Italy) who finished 3rd in the same Championship.
The action starts at Sepang on Wednesday with unofficial testing.
